Strengthortunity be a Salmon

Electrons take the path of least resistance while Salmon swim upstream to reproduce.

I recommend taking opportunities to build strength through functional movements. This means to do a motion you have to do anyway but if you do it with purpose this is a strenthortunity:

Sitting down slowly-The Eagle Has Landed

Avoiding using hands to stand up-Zombie

Get up

Avoid using lift chair

Squatting rather than flexing at hips

Getting onto and off of floor

Using knives rather than food processor

Washing dishes rather than using

dishwasher

Using axe instead of wood splitter

Walking rather than taking car

Climbing stairs instead of

elevator/escalator

Getting up to use bathroom

Every time you sit down, you make a choice. Do you want to get stronger or weaker? When you use a lift chair to lower you like an elevator, you are going to get weaker. If you have to use a lift chair to get up try stopping it at 75% of the way up. Try rocking to get your weight forward and use the leg muscles to get you up rather than the hands. But lower the chair at least 50% and sit down slowly. as able, stop the chair at 50% on the way up and 25% on the way down. You will gradually build strength as you work on it. Kids often buy their parents a lift chair out of concern and trying to make them be able to get up. But they can make you weaker faster than anything else.

Getting down into the floor and back up is a great functional exercise. By using your body as a weight the muscles will strengthen as you go down to the floor slowly and get back up. If you cannot get onto the floor, start working on this on the bed. Get onto your hands and knees on the bed. Work on getting one knee forward with the foot on the bed. Start working on getting the hips up. You can also work on partial lunges in standing to work on lowering one knee. If you do want to get onto the floor, have someone standing by who can help you get up. Or unlock the door and take the phone so you can call 911 if you need help.

Use every chance you get to make yourself stronger. Best way to keep you living in your own home.
