Sleep through the night? Absolutely!

Learning to fire the pelvic floor has very powerful benefits. Most importantly, it helps to hold the skeleton in a neutral alignment to prevent pain. Another nice benefit is that it helps to hold the bladder and keep the urine inside until you give it permission to leave. You can tell the pelvic floor is getting stronger when you wake up fewer times at night and the times you wake will get later until eventually, you do not wake until morning. I can tell that I have a strong pelvic floor because I can sleep through the night. If I start waking at night it reminds me that I am not doing enough strengthening of this muscle. It also hints that the pain may come back. That is a reminder to get back to strengthening the pelvic floor.
